This is almost the flagship of the laser helmet company from Belgium. Its obviously pitched at the Shoei Syncrotec / BMW System 3 et al, BUT , and its a big BUT, its better than all of them in my opinion. I bought it new from Lintons in Ballymena and got a good deal. It's got a double glazed clear visor which is guaranteed not to fog up , and after three weeks of constant winter riding it hasn't. |

Now here's the cool bit , it also has a slide on the top, which when activated pops down a tinted/black interior visor, thus meaning that you're not breaking the law, the police cannot pull you for a dark visor , if it pops down underneath the clear one and can be popped back up !!!! |
| It also has one hand operation, and is very smooth to lift up | |
| Another nice touch, is a rubber face mask, just like a jet fighters. Although it looks like a gimmick , give it time , you'll wonder why you've never used one before. It keeps your face lovely and toasty warm, and allows you to open the vents without freezing your teeth at speed !!!! |
|
The only downside to this helmet is wind noise at speed. It's ok up to about 50, and then it gets noisy. I've tried it up to about 100 (On a private road , Constable !!!) and it's quite noisy, marginally more than my BMW system three it replaced. However in my experience with BMW, and using a friends syncrotec, they're all noisy to an extreme, its just a foible of an lift up chin helmet. And now for the bite, the price for my favorite helmet to date, £200 , yep £200 , in my book quite a good deal..... So rush out and buy one !!! Neil O'Brien |
